We are back!!!

We have just enjoyed a fantastic holiday - firstly a week visiting my family near Sydney and then a week in Fiji with family!!

Here are a couple of photos to share. I am not feeling very chatty today as I have landed back in Cairns with a tummy bug. Last night was the worst..today I am feeling 'delicate'!

Anway here goes...

We stayed at the Warrick Resort on the Fiji coral coast. It was a very beautiful and we enjoyed LOTS of snorkling.

Mollie got her hair braided. She was a very brave girl as at the top it was really hurting. The fijian ladies who did it were lovely. She still has them in too.

Lots of canoeing and paddle boating


And a holiday wouldn't be a holiday without some holiday clothes!

Raspberry slushie!!

OMGoodness you HAVE to try this. Grab yourself a bag of frozen berries (raspberry here), put them in your processor, add some icing sugar and whizz up...yum yum.
So refreshing.....

For an extra treat, drizzle some melted choccy over the top....devine:)

I buy it quarterly and I have made quite a few things from past issues.
Sorry this issue is a little bent, it has been in my handbag and when I am waiting for the kids at tennis or dancing..I whip it out for a read.

My backpack!

I was standing at dancing the other day and I had an idea of making myself a backpack. After much thinking of design, I looked down at my feet there was Mollies ballet bag ( from Nana).

And guess what it was a perfect design.

A couple days later with Mollies bag, a tape measure, paper and pen, I designed and then made this backpack.

I love this fabric..it came from Tas's fabric destash

With the flap opened and a peek at the inside fabric. The ribbon drawstring works well, with the addition of a wooden bead.

I am really happy with it! A friend and I are going to have a stall at a local market in December, so I am tempted to make a couple up. I might have to research how to make adjustable straps though.

Off to cut another one out now!
