Imke and Insa for Mollie

From my NEW favourite book Sewing Clothes Kids Love , I made Mollie the Imke top and Insa skirt.
It has all our favourite things, denim, dots and toadstool embroideries.
It is a little big on her at the moment, but we can live with that!!!

FUN project!!
ps please excuse the state of Mollie...she raced in, put the clothes on, did a fake smile and then race out again, off to run her new lego car off a jump out the back!

A couple new outfits for the kids

A LORE set for Mollie. Such an easy pattern - a divided skirt (shorts) and the singlet top.
Perfect for the hot weather.
The top fabric is from Crafty Mamas and the yellow spots is from the market in Germany we visited.

OTTO shirt for Lucas. Fabric from Crafty Mamas.
It isn't sitting straight on him in this photo lol
He loves his pattern and I have made him about 6 shirts so far. He has picked the fabric for the next couple!!

Here she is OUR BALLERINA!

Mollie has started ballet this year and boy was she excited!
Her first lesson was on Thursday and because we didn't have the uniform -(ordered but hasn't arrived) I made this little outfit for her.
The leotard and skirt was from OTTOBRE 1/2009.
Leotard made from handdyed STELLA and the skirt from cotton voile and STELLA waistband.

Very sweet!

Valeska for me!!

This skirt pattern called Valeska was such a fun skirt to make. It came together really quick and easily..one of those that it took longer to decide on the embellishments then it did to sew it up.

I made it front white safari dill, hand dyed it purple and then added the purple ric rac and the embroidery.

There is a girl version that I have nearly finished for Mollie. You will have to have your sunglasses ready as her favourite colour in yellow and she hand dyed it herself.....it is VERY bright lol....

LORE for Mollie!

After being inspired by Lisa's and Sara's farbenmix LORE outfits, I really wanted to make a set for Mollie. Yesterday morning, Mollie woke up to put it straight on.
Sorry about the bed hair, and the 'Mum, I have just woke up' look on her face.
She wore it to homeschooling group yesterday and got lots of lovely comments!!

Detail on the pocket..farbenmix ribbons!
I am tackling a Tini.

Rainbow skirt for Zofia!!

Zofia from Crafty Mamas asked me make a Rainbow skirt for her.
I designed this skirt a couple years ago after being inspired by a girlfriends skirt.
I love making it as I get to play round with all my dyes to make something beautiful and summery to wear.

Thanks Zofia!!

We LOVE our Pets!!

So much Mama made us a t shirt with them on it!!

I hand dyed some Stella knit, sewed up a t shirt each and then made a photo transfer and ironed it on.
Lucas and Mollie absolutley LOVE them, they wear them every chance they can.
And IRL the photos are straight, not sure what happened in the photo!

'Sudoku'Ruffle Skirt

From Ottobre 1/2009, here is my hand dyed version of this skirt.
I dyed each piece and then slowly, slowly sewed it all up.
It is lovely and bright......maybe just the thing for our overseas holiday at the end of the year, no chance of losing Mollie lol!!

And it is very twirly!!

Where's Mum.....look for the HAT!

My VERY tropical Hat!
I needed something that fitted my big head and hair, with good sun protection.
So the pattern was the Amy Butler, Blue Sky Hat.
Very easy to make and sits comfortable on my head.

Added bonus, the kids will always be able to see me

I used quilting fabric for the top and hand dyed some matching blue lawn for the lining.

And of course Mollie wanted a go!

I am really happy with it!

An now a Tuolumne

And then Crafty Mamas had a sew a long for a farbenmix Tuolumne
I chose to make the underdress and it came out really well.
And it has a great twirl!
The back....I think she just pulled it as it is sitting funny in the photo.
Will move the button in a bit.

Now onto some winter stuff for our Euro holiday!!!
I have pulled out all my Ottobres and Farbemixs, Crafty Mamas shop has some cool Euro fabric so very soon you will see our Euro clothes!!

A FELIZ for Mollie

I finally took the plunge and made the Farbenmix Feliz for Mollie.
It really wasn't that hard and i should make another one up soon just so i remember it.
Maybe for a certain 2yr old niece down south maybe!

Anyway, here is the front

Back and a close up of the ruffles at the back.

Mollie choose this dress to wear rock and tree climbing at homeschooling group last week.
It survived too!

Rainbow Skirts

I have recently finished making two girl sized skirts for an order.
Here they are packed and ready to go!

And of course...one for Mollie!!
Front and Back

They are made of cotton drill and hand dyed my me.
The colours are bright and cheerful in real life!

Shirt for Lucas

This shirt pattern from OTTOBRE is perfect for Lucas. He doesn't like brand names, or aggressive pictures so a mix up of colours is a great solution. I have made 4 of these shirts now and he likes choosing these everytime.
Made from STELLA cotton from CM shop
