Euro holiday: LEGOLAND

On day 4 it was time to take the kids to Legoland. They were so excited and keen to get their as soon as the gates opened. We had heard of the queues that could happen so we decided it was a good idea..... one of the first families in.

It was a great day for us all. There were heaps of rides, lego things to look at and my favourite was miniland. It was amazing, they have made many different scenes from Lego ie venice, London, shipping port, space station, railway system, stonehedge and the list goes on and on.

Here are the first photos, will add more from the laptop - for some reason, the computers keep putting my photos in alphabetal order, which I don't want!!

Dave and the kids with a 'lego' family at the front gate!

Sewing machine for MOLLIE!!

And doesn't she love it!!
So far she has made pillows for everyone and their special soft toy, a cape for her cuddly teddy and something Lucas has asked for..not sure what that is yet.
Even though she is only 6 yrs old, she was ready for one. She had been using mine, as well as hand sewing.
Thanks to Nana and Pop, she has lots of habbys bit and material to add to it.
It is getting a real workout!!

Time to share!!

Just before flying down to Mum and Dads, I thought I would have a go at dyeing white fabric using dyed filled sauce bottles. I got a 2 minute go and then the kids discovered me and they took over. They had a ball creating interesting patterns using my rainbow dye colours.

Lucas was keen as well...and no there wasn't any dyeing flinging at each other either!!

This is the fabric after it was washed and dried.

Rainbow skirt for Zofia!!

Zofia from Crafty Mamas asked me make a Rainbow skirt for her.
I designed this skirt a couple years ago after being inspired by a girlfriends skirt.
I love making it as I get to play round with all my dyes to make something beautiful and summery to wear.

Thanks Zofia!!

Science with Dad!!

Who better to teach the children all about electricity then their DAD!!
Lucas recieved an electricity kit for Christmas and together they built a buzzer and radio.
Lucas has always been very wary of electicity (which is good) but to the point where we wouldn't turn his little reading lamp on in his room.
Anyway, with a little inside knowledge he seems more at ease with it.
Dave enjoyed the 'playing' as much as the kids I am sure.
