Our day in London

Back to our holiday.
On day three, we caught the train from Datchet train station into Waterloo (London) for the day. We had booked our tickets with the Red Bus company which we boarded at Trafalgar Square.
Here is Mollie on the bus!


We were on the bus crossing the London Bridge here, looking up (or was it down) the Thames to the Tower of London.


We had lunch by the Tower...yep chips..yum... This was after Dave decided to buy a hot dog from a stand right near the Tower. He nearly keeled over when the lady charged him 4 pounds for the hot dog, yes 8 aussie dollars. The game of converting everything to Aussie dollars had to stop or we weren't going to buy anything lol
After lunch we went for a boat ride on the River Thames.
And me, photo taken from the other direction. That is the London bridge in the distance.

This was my favourite area of Legoland. The whole area was filled with lego structures and scenes. We spent ages looking at them all!

These little FIAT lego cars where a huge hit, I lost count on how many times the kids went on these.

And this is Windsor Castle, photo taken near the entrance to Legoland.

Euro holiday: LEGOLAND

On day 4 it was time to take the kids to Legoland. They were so excited and keen to get their as soon as the gates opened. We had heard of the queues that could happen so we decided it was a good idea..... one of the first families in.

It was a great day for us all. There were heaps of rides, lego things to look at and my favourite was miniland. It was amazing, they have made many different scenes from Lego ie venice, London, shipping port, space station, railway system, stonehedge and the list goes on and on.

Here are the first photos, will add more from the laptop - for some reason, the computers keep putting my photos in alphabetal order, which I don't want!!

Stoffmarkt Fabric market

I couldn't have gone to Europe without stopping at one of these markets. We went to the Saarlious one and BOY did Mollie and I have fun!! Mollie wanted to buy all the expensive fabric LOL but in the end she decided on a couple metres of some yellow spotted cotton and some pink babushka fabric. I bought some drill, cotton, a little knit and a magazine. Everyone was so nice to us, and even tried to talk English to me. It was a blast!!

This photo was taken on the north coast of France at a castle called Le Mont st Michel. It is located off the north coast and it once was Monastry. It really was a beautiful place to be!
